Locally Grown Is Tastier

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

We care about the food we prepare for you and the people who grow it for us. That is why we prefer locally sourced greens, vegetables, fruit, chicken, beef and herbs from small environmentally focused farms in or near Spokane. Our close relationships with growers insures you will be eating the tastiest healthy food.

From farm to table, here are some of our local food providers…

Lazy Lightning H Ranch - chicken

Emtman Brothers - beef

Greenacres Organics - organic asparagus

Dan Jackson - fresh lettuce, herbs, beans, squash, tomatoes

Latah Garden - Fresh mint, peas, basil, herbs, tomatoes

Wine Spectator Award Of Excellence

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Sometimes awards just aren’t what they seem as you can see from Dr Vino’s post about a recent Wine Spectator Award of Excellence awarded to a fictitious restaurant. Not only did the fictitious restaurant apply with a list of Wine Spectator’s lowest scoring wines, apparently Wine Spectator grosses over $600K every contest because the entry fee is $250. What a shame!
