Thank you AA magazine for the great article in the current February 2011 edition. Just read it on it on a recent flight and loved the complimentary image of Spokane as a forward thinking city. Great pictures and a mention about us in the Epicurean Excellence article, page 6.

Latah Bistro, located in the Latah Valley, four miles south of downtown Spokane, looks to area suppliers. The Bistro - which opened 6 years ago in a shopping center at the edge of residential developments that quickly give way to the rolling Palouse prairie - serves produce, meat and poultry from local farmers.

“It’s all about relationships - relationships with the food producers and relationships with the customers,” says Latah Bistro chef David Blaine. ” The bottom line is that I feel confident giving our customers these products.”

The menu, which changes regularly, might feature items such as a salad with Washington apples and handcrafted cheese from Seattle-based Beecher’s; Idaho rainbow trout with hazelnut pesto; and all-natural Washington Beef.

The bistro’s wine list includes notable local wines such as Caterina Winery, Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Karl Cellars Claret, and Townshend Cellars T3, in addition to a selection of international wines.
